They were standouts when they played high school basketball in the Tri-City area. This season, they were standouts in the junior college ranks.
Bradshaw Mountain product Mason Hunt earned a spot on the All-Region One, Division Two First Team playing for Pima College. But that was only the beginning for him. This past Saturday, “The Huntsman” recorded 19 points in the Aztecs’ 74–49 triumph over Scottsdale in the region championship game. In addition, Hunt was named the tournament’s Most Valuable Player.
A former Prescott player also snagged a nice award. Jason Parent was named to the All-Region One, Division One Second Team. This season for Yavapai College, Parent averaged 16.3 points per game. He also nailed 27 three-pointers and posted 152 rebounds, 74 assists, 30 steals, and 14 blocks.
