1963: Another big game for Wilt. San Francisco’s Wilt Chamberlain put up 70 points versus Syracuse. That helped the Warriors defeat the Nationals 163–148.

1984: They needed extra time to determine a winner. The Georgetown men’s basketball team got by Syracuse 82–71 to win the Big East Championship. The Hoyas went on to win the national championship.

1996: A close one for the title. Wake Forest edged out Georgia Tech 75–74 to capture the ACC men’s basketball title. The Demon Deacons ultimately made it to the Elite Eight of the national tournament.
