PHS Tennis Teams Zap Moon Valley

Like Doc Holliday in “Tombstone,” the Prescott tennis teams are “rolling” here in the early part of the season. Both the boys and girls kept rolling Tuesday when they faced Moon Valley.

The boys took their first four singles matches, though dropped their last two singles contests in third set tiebreakers. Two doubles wins secured a 6-3 win for the Badgers over the Rockets. Bridger Mangum had the most dominant match of the day, winning at number three singles 6-0, 6-1. Seth Walker and Carson O’Neill won their singles matches 6-1, 6-2.

The Prescott girls ruled the court down in Phoenix and trounced Moon Valley 9-0. Both Sophia Viterbo and Kloee Aurich won their singles matches 6-0, 6-0. Juliette Gundermann at number one singles won her match 6-1, 6-0.

The Prescott girls are now 4-0 on the season and the boys are 3-1. Both squads are off until March 24th when they take on Horizon.
