1979: He was a very bad boy. Los Angeles Kings defenseman Randy Holt set an NHL record with 67 penalty minutes in one game. The kicker, all of those penalty minutes came in the first period.
1990: They rallied to win the title. The UConn men’s basketball team recovered from a ten-point deficit to top Syracuse 78-75 in the Big East championship game. Tate George was the Huskies leading scorer with 22 points.
2012: The underdog won the championship. Number 17 Florida State overpowered number four UNC 85-82 in the ACC title game. The Seminoles, however, ultimately fell in the first round of the national tournament.
