The Prescott Valley Town Council gave unanimous approval to the town’s affordable housing plan at its meeting Thursday.
Neighborhood Services Director Traci Lira explained why the plan is so important:
Lira says the plan has four key aspects: neighborhood and housing preservation, employer support for workforce housing, affordable owner-occupied housing, and affordable rental housing.
One member of the public, Walt Kosar, pointed out:
Lira stressed the plan will not mandate specific developments, override zoning, or eliminate private market solutions.
