An extreme heat warning was issued this week for portions of Arizona, including parts of Yavapai County.
National Weather Service meteorologist Valarie Meola tells The News:
Meola adds residents should hydrate, wear sunscreen, avoid being outside during the hottest part of the day, stay in air-conditioned rooms as much as possible, and check on family and neighbors who may be prone to heat stress.
