Four people were hospitalized following a single-vehicle rollover crash on Highway 179 near Sedona. Units from the Sedona Fire Department, Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, and DPS responded to the scene Wednesday afternoon. One person in the vehicle had to be airlifted to a Phoenix-area hospital for treatment. Three other patients were taken to nearby hospitals.
The crash forced the closure of northbound Highway 179 for more than an hour. The cause of the accident is not known at this time.
