Additional Permit Tags Available from Game and Fish

Yavapai County hunters have a chance to draw an additional permit-tag through the annual Copper State Draw offered by the State Game and Fish Department. The special draw provides opportunities to hunt mule deer, white-tailed deer, pronghorn, and elk, while raising money for wildlife conservation across the state.

This year’s draw includes a highly sought-after permit for antlered mule deer on the Arizona Strip, located north of the Grand Canyon. The tag is valid from August 22nd through October 2nd.

The application period opens at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, April 1st and closes at 5 p.m. on April 7th. Applicants must have a customer ID to apply.
