Crews are working on Glassford Hill Road in Prescott Valley this week between Bear Path and Santa Fe Loop Road. Roadway excavation and grading is being performed as part of the widening project. New curbs and gutters are also being installed, new culverts and retaining walls are being constructed, and tests are being conducted on the new effluent water main.
Construction takes place weekdays between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. One lane of traffic is open in each direction through the work zone.
Town officials say businesses, schools, and neighborhoods will stay accessible, but motorists should expect delays, heavy equipment in the area, and traffic control devices.
Drivers are urged to follow posted signs, use caution, and consider alternate routes. Temporary sidewalk and pedestrian closures may also occur during construction.
