Next month is the chance for Mayer residents to do some spring cleaning. The Yavapai County government is putting on a community clean-up at the Mayer Yard located on Antelope Creek Road.
The event runs May 7th through 9th, and again May 14th through 16th, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. The service is free for county residents.
Accepted items include household appliances, bagged trash, tires, furniture, and yard trimmings. Officials say hazardous materials, liquids, and loose trash will not be accepted.
The cleanup also supports wildfire prevention efforts, encouraging residents to clear vegetation and create defensible space around their homes.
The program is for residential use only. Commercial loads will not be accepted.
