On a 5-2 vote, the Dewey-Humboldt Town Council approved the 2026 General Plan at its meeting Tuesday. Some of the plan’s highlights include a new low-density category for development and adding the state statute for following the public hearing process.
There is also a section for agro-tourism, stating that should the properties around the Iron King Mine Superfund Site be cleaned up, it could be used for open space and trails.
