Alumni Update for May 6th, 2026

Here’s a look at what some former local athletes are doing at other schools. Former Chino Valley runner Quenton Metz did his New Mexico State team proud at the recent Sun City Classic in El Paso, Texas, finishing ninth in the men’s 1,500 meter run.

Ex-Yavapai College pitcher Nick Woodcock appeared in 23 games for Emporia State University, going 3-3 with a 5.55 ERA, 50 strikeouts, and 22 walks in 36 innings.

Prescott grad Tyson Potts is pitching for Central Michigan, and went 2-4 with a 7.04 ERA, 32 strikeouts, and 22 walks in 46 innings.

Bradshaw Mountain product Rylan Osbjornsen hit .225 for Big Bend College with five RBIs, ten runs scored, and 13 stolen bases.

Two Bradshaw Mountain grads are on the Erskine College beach volleyball team . . . the Platt sisters. Abby was named the South Atlantic Conference Player of the Year. Hannah was an All-Conference Second Team selection.
