1923: Home runs galore in this game. Philadelphia and St. Louis combined for ten home runs as the Phillies outlasted the Cardinals 20-14. Philadelphia’s Cy Williams had three jacks on the day.

1963: Number two for this Dodger. Sandy Koufax threw his second career no-hitter in an 8-0 victory over San Francisco. Koufax struck out four and walked two in the game.

1972: He returned to New York. San Francisco traded future Hall of Famer Willie Mays to the New York Mets. He remained with them until after the 1973 season, when he retired.
