1966: A new home for one major league team. St. Louis played its first game at Busch Memorial Stadium. The Cardinals christened their new digs with a 4-3 12-inning victory over Atlanta.
1974: They went on a tear to win it all. Up by just five points in the fourth quarter, Boston notched 31 points en route to a 102-87 triumph over Milwaukee in Game Seven of the NBA championship series. It was the 12th title for the Celtics.
1997: An offensive onslaught in California. Trailing 6-2 in the bottom of the seventh, Anaheim exploded for 13 runs in the inning. That helped the Angels get the 16-8 victory over the White Sox.
