The temperatures are rising, and so is the wildfire risk in the Prescott area. Officials with Yavapai County Emergency Management emphasize the importance of being wildfire ready.
They say to avoid an accidental fire, residents should learn how to be fire-safe when using tools, BBQs, fireworks, and guns. Homes should be kept clear of leaves, debris, and flammable items. They add it’s important to have a family plan should a wildfire break out, and to practice it.
Finally, Emergency Management officials say residents should ensure they are signed up to receive emergency alerts and notifications.
