1920: Some shady stuff in Chicago. During a Cubs game, police launched a raid into the bleachers due to reports of gambling. When the dust settled, 24 fans were arrested for making wagers.
1946: He made a gaff for the first time in years. Cubs pitcher Claude Passeau committed his first error in 273 chances, a record for a hurler. Before then, he had not made an error since September 1941.
