Officials with the Prescott National Forest are asking for the public’s help in protecting trails from invasive weeds. On May 28th, the Forest Service will hold a volunteer day to hand-pull Dalmatian toadflax to restore affected areas and reduce its spread. The volunteer day will last from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. and takes place at the White Spar and Bean Peaks trailheads.
Forest Service officials ask volunteers to bring water, snacks, gloves, closed-toe shoes, long pants, and sun protection. To RSVP, call Seth Ratering at 928-606-0154.
