Ex-PHS, YC BKB Player Parent is now a “Wonder Boy”

Four years at Prescott High School, then two years at Yavapai College. Now Jason Parent will hit the hardwood beyond the borders of the Tri-City area. He has committed to Arkansas Tech University.

During his career at Yavapai, Parent recorded 783 points, 47 three-pointers, 316 rebounds, 153 assists, and 86 steals. He was named to the All-Region Second Team this past season, and was voted the ACCAC Defensive Player of the Year as a freshman.

Prior to his time with the Roughriders, Parent had a brilliant career at Prescott. At the time of his graduation, he was the Badgers’ all-time leading scorer with 1,622 points. Parent was also named Grand Canyon Region Player of the Year and was an All 4A Conference First Team selection. Along with his athletic accomplishments, Parent graduated from Prescott with a 4.0 G-P-A.

Arkansas Tech is an NCAA II team in Russellville nicknamed “The Wonder Boys.”
