Yavapai County has implemented Stage 1 fire restrictions for all unincorporated areas. County officials say the order coordinates with similar actions from the Prescott, Tonto, and Coconino National Forests, along with the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management.
Prohibited activities include most campfires, outdoor smoking, explosive targets, and the use of tracer or incendiary ammunition. Consumer fireworks are also banned on public and private property within fire ban zones.
County officials are urging residents and visitors to check current restrictions before any outdoor activity.
