The Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority is launching a new program aimed at helping communities better prepare for wildfires.
CAFMA officials say they have implemented “Fire Aside,” a data-driven system designed to improve how wildfire risks are identified, tracked, and addressed. The program uses parcel-level evaluations to help firefighters and property owners identify potential hazards, support mitigation efforts, and improve long-term wildfire planning.
CAFMA officials say the goal is to give residents better information about their individual risk and encourage proactive steps to protect homes and neighborhoods.
Residents living within CAFMA’s jurisdiction can schedule a free courtesy wildfire risk assessment by calling 928-772-7711.
