Some local athletes are among the best in the state. They made the All 4A Conference Team. For baseball, Prescott’s Matt Hepperle and Travis Gates both made the all-conference second team. Hepperle hit .400 with 25 RBIs and 28 runs scored, and on the mound went 3-1 with a 2.86 ERA and 59 strikeouts. Gates batted .408 with two homers and 31 RBIs, and on the bump went 5-4 with a 3.11 ERA and 60 strikeouts.
Bradshaw Mountain softball’s Kodee Statler made the All 4A Conference first team. “Code Red” hit .652 with five homers and 19 RBIs, while going 2-0 with a 1.35 ERA and 46 strikeouts in six appearances in the circle.
Prescott volleyball’s Eli Buettner and Awrinn Heartisan both made the all-conference second team. Buettner registered 209 kills and 117 digs, while Heartisan posted 583 assists.
