YCSO Tracks Down DV Suspect to Legoland

A man wanted for trying to murder his girlfriend in Paulden has been arrested in California. According to the Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office, 46-year-old Jason Marchesano was taken into custody on a nationwide warrant for attempted second-degree homicide, kidnapping, and aggravated assault.

Investigators say the case stems from an incident that occurred on October 28, 2025. Marchesano reportedly strangled his girlfriend inside a fifth-wheel trailer, then tied her up using bed sheets. The victim escaped and later reported the assault, but Marchesano fled the scene before deputies arrived.

Detectives followed leads across Arizona, Nevada, and California before locating Marchesano at Legoland. He was safely taken into custody and is awaiting extradition.
