The Prescott Police Department is inviting community members to take part in free fraud prevention classes designed to help residents recognize scams and protect their personal information.
The monthly classes are part of the department’s stop, check, protect fraud prevention campaign. Participants will learn about current fraud trends, common scam tactics, warning signs to watch for, and practical steps to help safeguard themselves and their loved ones.
Upcoming classes are scheduled for June 26, July 9, and August 6, with each session beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Prescott police department on south marina street.
Seating is limited to 25 participants per class, and advance registration is required.
Police officials say they are also available to provide fraud prevention presentations for businesses, community organizations, churches, and homeowners associations throughout the area.
