The monsoon came early to Yavapai County. According to the County Flood Control District, over the weekend, Mingus Mountain received 0.94 inches of rain. Prescott Country Club got 0.35 inches. Prescott Valley and Seligman both had under a quarter-inch of rain. Pine Ridge Marketplace and Big Bug Mesa both received 0.16 inches. Downtown Prescott, Mayer, Cordes Junction, and Camp Verde all got 0.12 inches. Goldwater Lake had 0.08 inches, and Lynx Lake received 0.04 inches of rain.
The Tri-City area could see more rain today as the National Weather Service reports a 40-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms.
