PHS Baseball Derails Mohave

4/3/24

Lopsided games are starting to become the norm for the Prescott baseball team. On Tuesday, the Badgers played host to Mohave and spent the entire game battering their pitchers. Prescott’s pitchers, meanwhile, scattered just three hits as the blue and gold got the 10-0 mercy rule win.

Andrew Lyon drove in four runs and scored twice. Ryan Elliott went 2-for-2 with two RBIs and two runs scored. Ivan Schuster crossed the plate twice. Jack Burton and Nathaniel Torres each had an RBI. On the mound, Josh Adler got the win, striking out eight.

That’s the fifth win in a row for the Badgers, with four of those victories coming on the mercy rule. They have also won nine out of their last ten games. Prescott’s overall record is now 12-3 on the season. They are also 5-0 in Grand Canyon Region play.

Prescott hosts Mingus tomorrow.
