Local scoreboard from the weekend, In baseball, Yavapai College downed number two ranked Central Arizona 6-1 in game one. Traig Oughton threw a complete game victory, striking out seven. The Roughriders then lost game two 13-2.
Softball, Yavapai College got swept by Eastern Arizona 13-3 and 14-4. Embry-Riddle took three of four games from La Sierra. Diana Miranda Montano drove in four runs and scored six runs in the series.
At the Pomona Pitzer Track and Field Invitational, Embry-Riddle’s Zoe Tizard won the women’s 5,000 meter run and Nick Logan placed ninth in the men’s 5,000 meter run.
