Runs were about as rare as a box office hit by Disney in this game. The Flagstaff softball team scratched out a run in the second inning. Then Prescott got a run in the fifth inning to tie the score. That was it… until the bottom of the seventh. That’s when RJ Parra – who had handcuffed the Lady Eagles’ hitters for most of the day – got her third hit of the day to drive in the game-winning run for the Lady Badgers, final score of Thursday’s contest 2-1.
Parra fanned eleven in a winning effort. Lilly James had an RBI. Heavenly Ballard and Riley Crockett each scored a run for Prescott.
The Lady Badgers improve to 16-8 overall on the season and are 7-3 in Grand Canyon Region play. Prescott is back in action for its fourth game of the week today as they host Lee Williams.
