Local scoreboard from the weekend, in baseball, Yavapai College clipped Pima 4-3 in game one and dropped game two 23-0. Embry-Riddle dropped two of three to Westcliff. Drew Barragan homered and drove in four runs in the series finale. Chino Valley edged out Camp Verde 7-6. Connor Peterson had a triple and two RBIs. Mayer fell to Joseph City 11-7. Georgio Haro had two hits and scored two runs.
Softball, Yavapai College fell to Central Arizona 13-5 in game one and won game two 10-9. Prescott lost to Lee Williams 6-1. Bradshaw Mountain lost to Flagstaff 12-4. Eliza Legge had two hits and scored two runs. Chino Valley lost to Camp Verde 12-1.
Tennis, for the boys, Bradshaw Mountain took care of Mingus 6-3. Girls, Prescott lost to Canyon View 7-2. Bradshaw Mountain got topped by Mingus 8-1.
The Bradshaw Mountain boys volleyball team fell to Mesquite 3-2.
Track and field, Embry-Riddle’s Demetrius Love, junior won the men’s five thousand meter run at the Bryan Clay Invite. The Prescott girls won the Bradshaw Mountain Invitational, while Chino Valley’s Madison Dey was first in the girls discus and shot put.
