April has not been a fun month for the Prescott girls tennis team. While they won their first match of the month—which extended their winning streak to six—the Lady Badgers then dropped their next five matches in a row. So you can imagine they wanted to stop that streak in yesterday’s regular season finale… and stop it they did. Prescott absolutely owned Paradise Honors, sweeping the Lady Panthers 9-0.
Somer Huttman won her number one singles match 6-1 and 6-0. Laci Tolli was victorious at number two singles 6-3 and 6-1. Ciara Coleman dominated number three singles 6-0 and 6-0. As for the rest of the singles matches, number four Eva Torrey won 6-2 and 6-3, Alder Aten won 6-1 and 6-2 at number five, and Michelle O’Neill won 6-1 and 6-0 at number six. The Lady Badgers won all three doubles matches by the score of 8-2.
Prescott finishes the regular season with a 9-6 record.
