BMHS Softball Overpowers Prescott

The Prescott softball team picked up where they left off from Tuesday’s 4-0 win over Bradshaw Mountain as Kennedy Carr gave the Lady Badgers an early 2-0 lead with a two-run bomb in Thursday’s rematch. Though unlike in their first meeting, the Lady Bears’ bats were anything but quiet. They plated three runs in the bottom of the first, then cranked out six runs in the third inning. The Lady Badgers couldn’t recover as Bradshaw cruised to an 11-4 triumph.

Carmen Marquez had three RBIs for the Lady Bears. Kadence Williams tripled and drove in two runs. “Code Red” Kodee Statler was the winning pitcher with 13 strikeouts. She also had two RBIs.

For Prescott, Carr had three RBIs on the day. Gracie Pereira drove in one run.

Bradshaw Mountain concludes the regular season with a 13-8 overall record, while Prescott is 17-10. Both teams will be in the 4-A conference state tournament.
