Drought conditions have eased in Yavapai County. According to the U.S. Drought Monitor, most of the county is abnormally dry. The eastern part of Yavapai is in moderate drought, along with some of northern Yavapai County.
As for the rest of Arizona, more than half the state is abnormally dry. The southeastern part of the state is in either moderate or severe drought.
Because of the current drought conditions, the fire danger in the Prescott National Forest is moderate. Visitors to the forest should be careful with anything that can produce a flame or spark to prevent a wildfire from breaking out.
