City of Prescott officials are optimistic that a specific type of fish, the white amur, will enhance water quality at Watson Lake. The lake, listed as impaired due to high levels of nitrogen and pH, along with low dissolved oxygen, was recently stocked with these fish to combat weed overgrowth.
Additionally, the city is implementing an aeration system to further promote the health of Watson Lake.
