Some local products helped the Embry-Riddle track team to a second place finish on both the men’s and women’s sides at the Cal Pac Championship meet Friday. Chino Valley grad Dillon Eisner finished fifth in the men’s 1,500 meter run, sixth in the men’s 800 meter run, and 9th in the men’s 5,000 meter run. He was also part of the 4-by-400 relay team that finished third. In addition, Jacob Ortiz placed second in the men’s 5,000 meter run and Ben Smith was third in the same event.
For the women, Zoe Tizard was the Cal Pac champion in both the 1,500 meter run and the 5,000 meter run. Prescott alum Kari Kasun – who is part of the Riddle soccer team – finished seventh in the 400 meter dash and eighth in the 100 meter dash. Another Riddle soccer player, Chino Valley grad Kaitlyn Roskopf, was sixth in the 400 meter dash and eighth in the 800 meter run, with another soccer player, Rae Yoshioka, finishing second in that event. Roskopf, Kasun, Yoshioka, and soccer teammate Ella Carnahan were runners-up in the 4-by-400 relay.
