The Seton Catholic baseball team went up 2-0 in the second inning over Bradshaw Mountain in the opening round of the 4A conference state tournament Saturday. But the Bears tied the score in the third inning, then tacked on a couple of more runs while suppressing the Sentinels’ offense the rest of the way. The end result was a 4-2 victory for Bradshaw.
Rylan Osbjornsen had an RBI and a run scored for the Bears. Nate Reynolds also had an RBI. Garison Jones, Josh Wright, and Shane Lievsay each scored a run. TJ Drape was the winning pitcher.
Bradshaw Mountain is at Tempe Diablo Stadium tonight at 6:30 PM to take on number one ranked Scottsdale Saguaro in round two of the state tournament.
The Bradshaw Mountain softball team was to have played Flagstaff in the opening round of state Saturday, but bad weather postponed that game. The two sides play today at Flagstaff.
