Yavapai County Sheriff’s deputies arrested a man for allegedly pointing a rifle at campers in Prescott.
According to YCSO, the incident occurred last Thursday night off Senator Highway at Mount Tritle. A camper reported that a man shone a light into her vehicle and then aimed a rifle at her, her child, and two other adults following a dispute over a campsite. The campers left the site after the incident and awaited the arrival of law enforcement.
Deputies located the suspect’s campsite and detained 39-year-old John Kim after finding a rifle and handgun in his possession, matching the description provided by the campers. Kim was arrested on charges of aggravated assault, endangerment, and disorderly conduct.
