A fire broke out at a building on South Montezuma Street in Prescott Wednesday evening. The Prescott Fire Department reports five engines responded to the structure in the 500 block of South Montezuma around 5:30 p.m. Firefighters from Prescott and the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority discovered heavy smoke coming from the attic.
It took 30 minutes to bring the fire under control. No one was in the building at the time of the fire. No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
