Some final recognitions for four Chino Valley athletes. Prior to last week’s commencement, it was announced that Brody Ryan was named the school’s male athlete of the year. In football, he had 22 catches for 326 yards and two touchdowns, while in track and field he was a state qualifier for the 300-meter hurdles and the 4X400 relay.
Danielle Graham was named Chino Valley’s female athlete of the year. She had ten goals and seven assists for soccer, and for track and field was fourth in the 800-meter run and fifth in the 400-meter run at the state meet.
Quenton Metz was named the male Cougar of the year. For track and field, he was part of the state champion 4X800 relay team and was the state runner-up in the 1,600-meter run.
Macy Fry was the female Cougar of the year. She made 319 digs for the volleyball team, and also posted 58 kills, 13 blocks, and ten aces.
