They were offensive juggernauts, and that got them major national recognition. Drew Barragan and Travis Strickler of the Embry-Riddle baseball team were named to the NAIA All-American team.
Barragan was a first team selection. He was the Cal Pac triple crown winner with a .448 batting average, 16 home runs, and 94 RBIs. Those 94 RBIs were also the fourth-most in the nation. He was also the Cal Pac leader in slugging percentage at .835 and led the conference in doubles with 32 and total bases with 177.
Strickler was a third team selection. He was the conference leader in stolen bases with 29, runs scored with 77, and triples with eight. He also batted .402 with nine home runs, 53 RBIs, 29 doubles, and a .502 on-base percentage.
In addition, Strickler was the Cal Pac player of the year and Barragan was the Cal Pac defensive player of the year.
