The Arizona Rattlers went on an offensive tear in the second quarter to go into halftime with a 35-20 lead over Northern Arizona. However, the Wranglers rebounded in the second half and kept pace with the Rattlers. Arizona held on at the end and got the 56-49 win Saturday night down in Phoenix.
Joshua Jones threw four touchdown passes and had a rushing touchdown for Northern Arizona. John Maldonado had two touchdown catches. RZ McCorker recorded 83 receiving yards and a touchdown and also had a rushing touchdown. Kobay White had a rushing touchdown and a TD catch. Wallace Cowins registered six tackles, and Tramond Lofton posted five tackles and half a sack.
The Wranglers are 7-4 on the season and are in fourth place in the IFL’s Western Conference. Northern Arizona returns to the Findlay Toyota Center in Prescott Valley this coming Sunday to face the San Antonio Gunslingers.
