Work to replace the old bridge at Fain Lake in Prescott Valley could begin in August. The town government has put out a request for proposals for the project. Contractors have until mid-July to submit their bids. Once the contract is awarded, construction of the new bridge is scheduled to begin in August and be finished by November.
The pedestrian bridge at Fain Lake was closed earlier this year when it was deemed a safety hazard due to years of deterioration.
