Bradshaw Mt Principal & Others Remember Coach David Moran

Bradshaw Mountain’s principal knew David Moran long before he became a coach. Moran, who coached the Bears football team from 2014-16 and was the defensive line coach for the Northern Arizona Wranglers, passed away Monday after suffering a heart attack.

Northern Arizona Wranglers owner Fred DePalma said Moran’s spirit will forever be a part of their team.

Many local individuals and organizations have taken to social media to share their thoughts on Coach Moran’s passing. The Bradshaw Mountain football boosters said, “He was a pillar in our community and a legend on campus . . . let us celebrate the incredible legacy he leaves behind.”

Prescott High School Football – Gridiron posted, “Coach [Moran] and his father positively impacted so many outstanding athletes through the years. He was a great competitor and a champion everywhere he coached.”

Former Prescott football coach Mike Gilpin said Coach Moran, “Was always a fierce, but respectful competitor. He was a good dude gone way, way too soon.”

The Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office and the Granite Mountain Young Marines were also among many who expressed their condolences on social media.
