Very Hot With a Chance of Rain for Prescott

Rain could return to the Prescott area this week. According to the National Weather Service, there is a 20 to 30-percent chance of thunderstorms Wednesday through Friday. That chance goes up to 50-percent for the weekend.

But it doesn’t look like these storms will do anything to cool off the area. We will still see triple digits through Friday, with daytime highs possibly getting up to 102 degrees. In addition, winds will gust up to 20 miles per hour.

Everyone is reminded to be careful with anything that can produce a flame or a spark, and remember, Stage One fire restrictions are in effect throughout Yavapai County, including the Prescott National Forest.
