The Yavapai College men’s basketball team has quite a few guys coming back from last season’s roster, and they’ll be joined by several newcomers.
Key returners for the Roughriders include Isaac Gonzalez, who averaged 6.4 points per game; Raphael Dupouy, who averaged five points per game and 3.6 rebounds per game; and Nadir Myers, who averaged 7.4 points per game. Bradshaw Mountain alum Amari Lawrence, who redshirted last season, is also coming back.
New to YC for the 2024-2025 season are two Prescott grads – Jason Parent, the 2022 Grand Canyon Region Player of the Year, and Andrew Lyon. Other recruits include Yassir Joyner, a thousand-point scorer from Upper Darby High School in Philadelphia; Deyishon Miller, who averaged 21 points per game at West Philadelphia High School, and Ryan Vischer, a seven-foot forward from Phoenix Prep.
