CAFMA Responds to Possible Fire at Pet Resort

Units from the Central Arizona Fire and Medical Authority responded to a possible structure fire at WAGS Pet Resort and Luxury Hotel in Prescott Valley Wednesday morning. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a haze and the smell of burnt rubber in the lobby.

WAGS staff evacuated the dogs while CAFMA investigated. They found no fire, but did discover two malfunctioning air conditioning units as the cause of the smell. The units were shut down, which cleared the haze.

No injuries were reported.
