A Village of Oak Creek man was arrested last Thursday for allegedly defrauding a couple and another person out of more than one million dollars. Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office spokeswoman Kristin Greene tells The News 32-year-old Nicholas Silverstri traded gold and silver coins with a Village of Oak Creek couple for bullion investments:
Detectives arrested Silverstri at his home and found evidence of the fake gold bars, along with the gold coins from the first victim. Greene said the sheriff’s office believes there are more victims of Silverstri’s schemes and urges them to call the sheriff’s office at 928-771-3260.
