Yavapai County Rain Totals from August 1st

The monsoon returned to Yavapai County in force Thursday. According to the County Flood Control District, Sedona received 0.79 inches of rain. Chino Valley got 0.71 inches. Mingus Mountain had 0.67 inches. Williamson Valley received 0.43 inches. Outer Loop Road and Camp Verde both got 0.31 inches. Prescott Heights, Sierra Prieta, and Cottonwood all had 0.20 inches. Big Bug Mesa received 0.16 inches. Downtown Prescott, Thumb Butte, Willow Lake, Goldwater Lake, White Spar Campground, and Ash Fork all got 0.12 inches. Prescott Valley, Prescott Country Club, and Lynx Lake all had 0.08 inches, and Fain Lake, Pine Ridge Marketplace, Watson Lake, and Seligman all received 0.04 inches of rain.

Expect another rainy day in the Prescott area today as the National Weather Service is forecasting a 40-percent chance of thunderstorms.
