A full closure of southbound I-17 in Yavapai County is on tap this week. The interstate will be shut down between Sunset Point and Bumble Bee Road from 9 p.m. till 5 a.m. through Thursday. A detour will be set up at Bumble Bee Road and around the bridge to reconnect with the interstate.
Meanwhile, northbound I-17 will be reduced to one lane between Bumble Bee Road and Coldwater Road to accommodate earthwork and bridge work.
This is part of the I-17 improvement project, which should be completed next year.
