Four players from the Northern Arizona Wranglers earned spots on the Indoor Football League’s All-Rookie Team. One of them is quarterback Joshua Jones. He threw for 2,912 yards and 56 touchdowns. Jones also showed off his footwork by rushing for 671 yards and 21 touchdowns.
Two of the three receivers on the All-Rookie Team came from the Wranglers’ roster. John Maldanado had 931 receiving yards and 24 touchdowns, and Kobay White recorded 677 receiving yards and eleven touchdowns.
In the special teams category, Axel Perez was named the league’s top rookie kicker. He notched 15 field goals and 75 extra points on the season.
Thanks to the efforts of these four rookies, Northern Arizona finished the 2024 season with a record of 9-7.
