Despite the storms that rolled through the Prescott area Thursday, there was still work that needed to be done in the Watson Woods Riparian Preserve. Several volunteers made their way through the woods removing teasel. This plant is considered an invasive species in the United States. When teasel takes hold, it can crowd out all other native plants in the area.
The volunteers clipped and collected seed heads in order to prevent this plant from spreading.
