Prescott Valley police officials want to make sure no one breaks into your car. To that end, they are offering tips to reduce your chance of being a victim of a vehicle burglary. Along with simply locking your windows and doors, never leave your car running unattended. Police say that is just an invitation for a car thief.
Also, never leave your keys in your car, always keep them on your person. All valuables should be removed from your vehicle when you are not in it. When out at night, be sure to park in a well-lit area.
In 2023, Prescott Valley police reported 49 vehicle break-ins and 23 vehicle thefts.
